The general setting of the Kite Runner takes place in two major countries, Afghanistan and the United States. The beginning takes place at the Golden Gate Park in the city of San Francisco, California. Amir who is an adult at this time starts to flashback to his childhood times. Which in in Kabul, Afghanistan.
